Volunteering

Why not get involved yourself?

The Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust Ltd. is a registered charity and therefore relies heavily on volunteers and fund-raising to keep the pier and Toll House running and open for members of the public to visit.

Volunteers

Clevedon Pier and Clevedon Heritage Centre is run by a mixture of paid staff and volunteers. As a charity, there are insufficient funds available to employ all of the staff so we rely heavily on volunteers to supplement and work alongside the paid staff. There are various jobs that need to be done so if you can spare some free time, even if it is only one morning or afternoon a week, we would love to hear from you.

In the summer months, we try to open the Pier later in the evenings, to allow people to stroll down the Pier, and enjoy some of the amazing sunsets that can be seen. This is only possible with the help of volunteers.

Volunteering roles include;

  • General visitor assistant
  • Office work
  • Meeter & Greeter
  • Archive/Research
  • Maintenance/DIY
  • Gardening
  • Helping in the Cafe
  • Help with events
