Tiffin Eatery chosen as the catering partner for Clevedon Pier

Tiffin Eatery have won the tender to become Clevedon Pier’s food and drink partner once the new Visitor Centre opens later this year. This partnership will mean that visitors to the Pier will be able to enjoy anything from an ice cream or a snack through to full high quality dining in this stunning location.

The combination of Grade 1 Victorian engineering, a visually stunning new Visitor Centre, spectacular coastal views and exciting food & drink choices will provide a truly wonderful experience for everyone.

Tiffin has already been recognized in the national press and has proved to be a real asset to Clevedon. It has an excellent pedigree but suffers from being too popular at times with guests being unable to be accommodated.

Tiffin on the Pier will complement the existing Clevedon beachfront venue by offering additional capacity and an even greater variety of dining options.

Tiffin in Clevedon’s two hundred seat sister restaurant in Jersey has, in just two years, become one of the island’s top venues. Tiffin Jersey is used extensively by Government to publicise living and working on the island and has featured in the worldwide press – for example a number of airline magazines and the Financial Times. The same all embracing marketing approach will be used to develop Tiffin at the Pier for the benefit of Clevedon as a community.

Catering choices on the Pier will be many and varied. Tiffin will cater for all – from a family enjoying a walk along the promenade searching for an affordable quality food proposition during the day through to a couple seeking a romantic destination to celebrate with high culinary skill and exciting foods in the evening. In addition, guests will have the option of choosing 70% of menu items in ‘picnic’ form allowing them to dine on the Pier, on the Beach or on the Promenade.

Nick Wring from Tiffin says

“We will be making a significant financial contribution to the Pier itself, but as importantly, we will also help bring the Pier into the wider public domain nationwide as a great venue to visit. Every attraction needs an ‘edge’ and most importantly something that can easily refresh and reinvent itself as public trends move or are influenced by the market leaders. Making 20,000 tons of steel do that is impossible, but keeping a menu offering fresh, exciting, understandable and modern can be achieved at the stroke of a pen!”

The Trustees of the Pier are delighted that the deal has been struck and are looking forward to working with the team from Tiffin as the next exciting chapter in the Pier’s story unfolds.
