Marine Lake images now available on the Memory Bank at Clevedon Pier

We are delighted to announce that the Memory Bank at Discover @ Clevedon Pier now includes a section devoted exclusively to the history of the Marine Lake.

  • Did you know that there were once bathing huts at the Marine Lake?
  • Are you intrigued about the diving boards that were very popular at the Marine Lake in the 1930s?
  • Would you like to see a time-lapse movie of the Marine Lake’s major refurbishment in 2015?

Find the answers to these questions and many more on the 1st floor of the old Toll House at Clevedon Pier.

Making these wonderful images and films accessible to visitors is the first step in a new collaboration between the Pier & Heritage Trust and the Marine Lake which will ensure that these and other historic artefacts are properly looked after for the benefit of the people of Clevedon – now and in the future.
