Pistons on The Pier

Get ready for a spectacular day of bikes, seaside views and fundraising as Pistons on the Pier returns to Clevedon Pier on Saturday 12 September.

Expect the Pier to be packed with an impressive display of motorbikes, stretching from the pier-head back towards the shore. Whether you’re a passionate biker or simply love seeing some beautiful machines, it’s a brilliant day out by the sea.

Bring your bike

If you’re bringing a show bike, you’re invited to ride onto the Pier and be part of the display.

Gates open for bikers at 8.30am, with marshals helping to position bikes along the Pier. Kickstand wood slats will be provided to help protect the decking. Bikes will be on deck until 12.30/1pm.

Come and see the bikes

The public display gets underway from 10am, giving visitors the chance to get up close to the bikes and enjoy the unique sight of a Pier full of motorbikes, all set against the Bristol Channel.

Normal Pier admission applies for spectators.

Your visit also helps support the ongoing work of the Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust, helping to care for this much-loved Grade I listed Pier for future generations.

The Glass Box will open 9.30 to 11am for breakfast baps on the Pier.

Live Auction-Your chance to take home a classic -11.30am

Two beautifully presented 1966 British bikes will go under the hammer in our first-ever live auction at Pistons on the Pier at 11.30am. Receipts come with the bike.

1966 Triumph Bonneville 120R

The Bonneville was the iconic motorcycle of its generation, and this example has been painstakingly restored from the frame up.

Its owner spent years sourcing and refurbishing the bike, using authentic parts wherever possible. Work includes new rims, spokes and tyres, a rebuilt engine with re-bore and oversized pistons, new valves and guides, new carburettors, Boyer electronic ignition, new exhausts, refurbished forks, new mudguards, wiring loom, seat and much more.

1966 BSA C15 SS (Super Sport)

This sporty C15 SS was acquired from an elderly relative and had previously been refurbished. It has since had further work including overhauled front forks, a new clutch and battery, while the rusted fuel tank has been cleaned and treated.

Both bikes have been run by the owner, although neither has been road tested. Both are offered sold as seen, with no responsibility or guarantee given or implied.
