Make a Will Week 2026
Local solicitors Star legal partner with Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust for Make a Will Week
Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust is delighted to announce a new partnership with local solicitors Star Legal, Alexandra Road, Clevedon, to offer a special Make a Will Week from 19–23 October 2026.
The initiative gives local people the opportunity to make or update their Will at a significantly reduced cost, while making a direct contribution to the future of one of the South West’s most treasured landmarks.
During the week, Star Legal will offer Wills for a suggested donation of £150 for a single Will or £225 for a pair of mirror Wills, with the donation going directly to Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust.
The partnership builds on a previously successful relationship between Star Legal and the Trust, which previously ran a similar initiative before it was paused during the Covid pandemic.
Why make a Will?
Making a Will is one of the simplest ways to make sure your wishes are known and that your money, property and possessions go to the people or causes that matter to you.
Without a valid Will, your estate will be distributed according to the rules of intestacy, which may not reflect what you would have wanted.
A Will can also give you the opportunity to leave a gift to a charity you care about.
Do I have to leave anything to the Pier?
No. Absolutely not.
Taking part in Make a Will Week does not mean you have to leave a gift to Clevedon Pier in your Will. The suggested donation simply covers the cost of the special offer, with that donation supporting the Trust’s work to protect and preserve the Pier.
If you do wish to leave a gift to Clevedon Pier in your Will, however, your solicitor can explain the different options available to you.
How to take part
Make a Will Week runs from Monday 19 to Friday 23 October 2026.
To take advantage of the offer, contact Star Legal in Clevedon to make an appointment during the week. The suggested donation is £150 for a single Will or £225 for mirror Wills, payable as part of the appointment, with the proceeds donated to Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust.
